An artificial tree can give an empty corner purpose, but height alone is a poor way to choose one. Width, canopy shape, pot and sightlines matter just as much. This guide helps you plan a tree that fits your room from the first day.
Measure the space in three directions
Start with floor to ceiling, then measure the floor area the tree can occupy and the gap between nearby furniture. Open the nearest door and walk the route through the room. A tree that looks fine in an empty photograph may crowd a walkway once its leaves spread out. Check the product's overall width as well as height, and add the height of any decorative planter you intend to use.
Choose a silhouette for the room
A slim tree can add height beside a sofa or console. A fuller canopy works better when it has clear space on both sides. Bamboo creates a lighter vertical line; a broad-leaf tree feels more substantial. Use a room photo to compare: mark the intended height and width with removable tape, then step back to the doorway and sofa.

If the tree needs to be raised inside the planter, use a stable insert and follow the product's care guidance.
Place it where it improves the view
Good locations include an empty corner, the end of a sofa grouping or a space beside a low cabinet. Avoid blocking art, switches, doors or a view you want to keep. If the tree will stand near a large UAE window, check its material and care instructions for direct sunlight. Artificial foliage may still need protection from prolonged sun exposure.
